RIAA Gold award for Divinyls debut album, which was released on Jan. 14, 1991. It was certified Gold by the RIAA on June 24, 1991 for 500,000 copies sold, which this award celebrates. Remember Dinivyls lead singer and co-producer Chrissy Amphlett (1959-2013) with this award.

The group's debut contained their most successful single, "I Touch Myself", which went to #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, #10 in the U.K. and which topped the chart in Australia. The album itself rose to #15 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, #5 in Australia, and #59 on the UK chart.

Detailed Item Description: This is a first presentation RIAA Gold album award that would have been manufactured in 1991, making it approx. 31 years old. It is presented to record industry executive Jeffrey Naumann, who was in record promotion with Virgin, RCA and other record labels.

This award is all original and in VG to Excellent condition. Award has its original backing paper and although its' manufacturer sticker is missing, there is adhesive residue in the size, shape and location indicating it was made by Creative Glassics.
