RIAA Gold Album Award for the debut album from Jordin Sparks. The album was released on Nov. 20, 2007 and by Dec. 12, 2008 was simultaneously certified Gold and Platinum by the RIAA (this is a Gold award).
American Idol season 6 (2007) winner Sparks had her best success to date with her debut album on the strength of singles "Tattoo", which reached #8 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and "No Air" which went to #3. The album debuted at #10 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart.

Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Gold award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in 2008. The award is presented to 19 Recordings, the label to which all Idol contestants are signed upon entering the competition.
It is all original with unopened backing paper, Off The Wall manufacturer's sticker and all correct components. This award is in VG to Excellent condition with only minor mars on the plexiglass and frame.

Notes on the condition of all vintage record awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home.
